PHYSICAL INTIMACY

Is love dry without physical intimacy?

Love and Lust are different kinds of emotions.

Love is an emotion positive in nature while the latter is negative.

If you do things that are physically intimate
(necking, kissing, fondling, etc.)
And you are in love with each other then, it is just passion.

It becomes malicious if you feel lust.

Physical intimacy is a medium of conveying love between lovers.

I think it is necessary.

Even a peck on the cheek of the person you love is already something.

Hug, holding hands, a simple kiss - all of these are signs of love and affection.

Age is just a number.

"The body is at its best between the ages of 30 and 35; the mind at its best about the age of 49."  - Aristotle

How old do you feel?

Do you think you act older or younger than your age?

I act ages and ages old.

I act like a King with no country to take care of.

I just act like I need to, and sometimes like I ought not.

Depends on when where and what my state of mind is.

I don't really know what people at certain ages are supposed to act like, from what I think I understand, then at my age I don't act it.

But I am aware that i am growing older.

Who determines what is the right or wrong way to 'act' as you get older in 'age'!?

As a person who believes we have a soul I don't know how old i really am anyway. I do act my age in some ways, because I groan and limp a lot more. Peace

Live and appreciate every moment - live a youthful life as age is just a number :)

Bored.

To me, boredom is a state of mind.

When I feel bored, I know there is something I need to focus on, or need to clear out.

This is when I will go, sit & be still within myself.

Just listen to my breath.

Not try to control it.

Just pay attention to my breath.

Eventually my mind becomes clear, the feeling of boredom subsides and I gain some form of insight into what my higher self wants me to really be focusing on.

So, What do you do when you're bored?

Give Peace A Chance.

What gets in the way of peace?

Greed. Placing blame.

The attachment to and the belief that one's point of view is the only one that should exist.

Whether in world politics, family structures, neighbors, it is all the same.

We tend to think our view of a situation, which is always skewed by ego and environment, is the only correct "answer", and we tend to need answers that suit our ego much more than we are willing to ask the right questions.

We love to place blame but how many of us look within for understanding and then act as examples.

But we sure do like the sounds of our own voices.

Enough.

For me, there is never enough time.

There are so many things I'd like to do with my life that sometimes, it's difficult to know where to start.

Everyone around me is constantly telling me to relax a little, take it easy--you don't have to work so hard.

But to be honest, I'm happiest when I'm accomplishing something.

I want to make a positive difference in the lives of the people I've known,
  • know and will know,
  • to find happiness in the things that are normally taken for granted,
  • improve and do well in all the things that I do,
  • to change someone's life for the better,
  • to forgive the people that hurt me,
  • to tell the people I love and care about how I feel and how much they mean to me,
  • to keep all my promises,
  • to use all my knowledge and personal attributes to help others,
  • to find a way to help make someone else's wishes come true,
  • to be successful and financially independent enough to be able to treat my parents to a cruise around the world,
  • to save someone's life,
  • to learn to say sorry,
  • to write and sing my own songs and record it onto a CD : ) ,
  • to live in the moment,
  • and ultimately, a life with no regrets.
Enough will never be enough, but I'll try my hardest to get there.

PORN OR NO PORN

First time I saw porn, I was eight.

I saw naked people and was like, 'what was that?

It was exciting, And then it's also a lot of curiosity.

Do you think pornography can be Tastefully done?
That's always a question that comes up.

I don't think porn can be done tastefully.

In my opinion, promiscuity does degrade the participants involved.
There is no other attachment, no real kindness just gratification of the base human need.

A lot of people would disagree and see all forms of sexuality as empowering for women.

But I think a lot of the these we see today is seen mainly through a Patriarchal sense.

As with most areas in society, mens way is considered the best way.
Being aggressive, being the hunter, taking what you want is the looked upon as cool and sexy.

My opinion -- It's that mentality that has put us in the situations we find ourselves.

Porn is an extension of that. The man is usually the aggressor, and the woman as prey. Not only in porn but in many different aspects of media.

I am not afraid to admit that I watch porn.
Most of the stuff is absurd though. Most of it is boring, And don't really watch it as much now...

Animals.

What have you learned from other animals?

It is often easy to think of things we've learned from other people, but what about lessons from other creatures?

Is there a particular animal that's taught you a lesson, be it a pet or an entire species?

Animals are like people.

They can argue with each other, and they can work together.

I like to watch the ways of different animals, and I noticed that even though they are all so different, they can get along.

I've seen many dogs and cats stay near each other peacefully, and rabbits seem to be fine with them too if they're not feeling threatened.

It could be just the nature of certain animals or the way they're brought up that makes them the way they are, but human beings are just the same.

We learn from the environment we live in and the way each person acts is different. No matter how we look physically, everyone is unique and beautiful.

The thoughts we have and the actions we take makes us who we are.

Guides and Angels.

I do believe in Angels or Guides. Although I think many of us become stuck in the words we use to express that feeling of being guided.

Whether you believe in intuition, prophetic dreams, and many other senses of awareness, I believe it is all guided for our benefit. Some of us can experience the sensation of a scent and feel moved to do something specific - a scent can be that of a departed loved one and it moves us to look somewhere for an item we thought had been misplaced and there it is. Some of us feel a touch on our skin and are instantly brought back to a moment where we remember a bit of information that is necessary. And some people see angels.

Personally, I have had more than several occurrences of being guided by something other than my own consciousness. I choose to label it as little as possible since I believe strongly that while I love words and language, I do think that we tend to box ourselves into specific belief systems based on words, on labels and judgments and that what we need to do is feel more and sometimes think less. Otherwise, we run the risk of forgetting that we are here - again, in my opinion - to experience human life and all that it offers us. But that does not mean that we should be disconnected from whatever our source is, and the source often gets lost in the words we use to attempt to explain it.

One can not deny that we are connected to each other and that alone, for me, eliminates the illusion that left to our conscious minds, we can navigate the pathways of our lives on our own.

I do believe that we are our thoughts, however, I do not believe that we are even close to understanding how those thoughts appear. There are too many documented stories of people doing extraordinary things based on a hunch or a physical feeling that came over them suddenly to believe that some sort of wisdom other than our conscious selves is at place in our worlds.

And we, each of us, are someone else angel or guide in ways that perhaps we do not see. We meet, we connect in ways that might be unexplainable, we have different versions of a mutual experience, and then we move on -- guiding each others lives to a better place hopefully. And then, of course, there are experiences such as those I've had where the room is suddenly occupied by something larger than ourselves, something that consumes the air, something that lets us know in that moment that we are not alone, and that everything is going to be okay.

Prayer.

Father God,
help me to stay strong through tough times. I know with you on my side I can overcome even if things get difficult. Even if it seems there is no way, I know you will make a way. I am determined to be willing and obedient to all you called me to do,
in Jesus' name.

Our Capacity To Transform.

What was the last risk you took?

The notion of risk has to do inherently with fear - of survival, of failure, of anything going wrong, of loss, of safety...

When, what I do, becomes a risk? Maybe, when - statistically - the possibilities of my desired outcome are lower? or when I simply measure it in the "likelihood of occurrence of a hazard".

On the emotional plane, I guess, in common slang I have been taking a lot of risks. But, when I've changed my attitude toward what is and might possibly be happening, when I welcome whatever might come the way it might come, then, what I possibly could have seen as a risk in the first place, becomes now a new life adventure, a new learning experience. If one thing doesn't work out.. well, then there is a another. One door closes, another open.

And even talking about physical risks, let's say, jumping out of an airplane. The risk that the parachute doesn't open, well it is there. But this is merely inherent of the act itself. By knowing and accepting the possibilities you just do that, doing what is expected, doing what is "part of the deal".

Getting in a car is a risk. The probabilities of an accident are much higher than we actually think. But we don't really think about it. We change our way of seeing the act and we generally don't watch the possibilities of a risk; contrary: we actually feel confident.

What I am trying to stress out, is that labeling something with risk, has definitely to do with our attitude toward what we are doing (or not doing). We can change, not only the possibilities of "failure" by thinking of the outcome in a mostly positive way (vs. fearful), but also by being open to accept a completely different outcome, which would immediately transform the notion of risk into 'being part of the wonders of life'.

By all what I have done and "risked" in my life, there is never ever any moment where I think "Oh, I wish I wouldn't have done it.."

And by having said this.. and emptying my confused head into the keyboard, looking desperately for the right words in a language which is not mine (yet), I must say, that the last risk I took was writing this little blog here.. who knows if that makes any sense and if anybody might understand..

Smile.

Is there something that you do for someone else every day?

Everyday I make sure to smile and laugh with at least ONE person... at a minimum.

I learned the power of that one simple action years ago and so no matter how I am feeling I do my best to do that daily!

------------ME - 4yrs ago = )

Anger.

Sometimes after becoming angry I feel energized and creative.

It is like a sudden, powerful, violent, short summer storm.

Just as suddenly it is over and I feel renewed and energized. I will need to talk about it afterward. Think with someone about what caused it and whether some action is required.

Ask the questions:

Is it something I can change? If not, what can I change?

Often I end up seeing the absurdity of it all and end up laughing.

Personal relationships don't bring out my anger.
I just get hurt and depressed.

Mirrors.

The purpose of others in life is like that of many mirrors, each with a unique point of view and reflections. Together they create the larger view and allow us to understand and see the world from views other than our own.

Prayer.

A Prayer to God: Protect the Innocents from Typhoon Pepeng

Father, the most powerful and ever Living God,

We praise and worship your Most Holy Name.

You alone, created the heavens and the earth.

You alone, created the winds that gives life and destroys life.

You alone, created the rains that bless our crops and destroy our mountains.

You alone knows the seasons and the times.

You are the most revered, the Kings of Kings and the Lord of Lords.

Father, forgive us our sins. Cleanse us of all transgressions and filth.

We have sinned and we humbly ask for your mercy.

Father, we ask, protect us from Typhoon Pepeng.

Shield us from its strong winds and rains.

Fortify our homes with your Love.

Embrace each and every one of us when this storm reaches our homes.

Protect us from its winds.

Protect us from its rains.

Cover our mountains with your Heavenly Strength

so that the soil will not erode and affect our homes.

Send your angels to protect the innocents, especially our babies.

Protect our old people so that they may be able to survive this.

Strengthen our women folk. Give everyone courage. Fortify their spirits.

Strengthen the faith of our men, so that they may be able to do their responsibilities.

To our widows, please, give them the strong will. To our poor, please protect them.

To our rich people, please illuminate them to help more people.

To our government, please enlighten them and strengthen them.

O Father, transform each and every one of us to become heroes.

We need you O Father to guide us to the way we need to take.

Give us food when we feel hungry.

Give us water when we feel thirsty.

Give us protection when harm is in our midst.

It is only You, O Father, who can do all these, not us,

We, who are weak,

We, who are defenseless

We, who are sinful

We, who are boastful.

We need you, O Father, every single moment of our lives.

This we all ask.

Amen.
