Going Out Of My Head

"People mistakenly assume that their thinking is done by their head; it is actually done by the heart which first dictates the conclusion, then commands the head to provide the reasoning that will defend it."
~Father Anthony De Mello

What I want most is a harmonious relationship
between my heart and my head.

The heart says “I want this, this is my desire” and the head says, “No you don’t” and the heart says “Yes I do” and the head says “Don’t (sticking out tongue)”.

Yes, I know how that seesaw feels!

Usually for me it’s because I’m not yet clear about my desire.

But when I am clear then I move in that direction and the head follows.

It’s interesting when our head and heart is not expressing complimentary tones creating that dissonance that can feel like grinding gears.

I hope we find that harmony right now.

Half Orange.

Sometimes I find just the right words that others have written and they help me along through my journey and my difficulties.

I found them here in Blogosphere.

Meaningful relationships with others gives me the most satisfaction;

My most rewarding experiences come through sharing either in presence, or in writing, and connecting with the thoughts, ideas, emotions, essence, and presence of another.

I always feel a keen sense of accomplishment when my writing has taken me to a place that I needed to go and did not know it.

I love discovery and not just through my words.

Sometimes I feel the words of others are traveling towards me, seeking me as their target, as if my need for the right words, the right ideas, the right thought to take me to my next level of existence and knowing is calling out to them to find me.

Well, here's a little bit of a dilemma that I have come across and wonder about.

If we are attracting into our lives what we need, then other are attracting us into their lives because of what they need.

I am always unsure of what my right action is when the relationship is turbulent, or I am not happy, or they are not happy.

It seems if both are not willing to “evolve", then we have to go our separate ways.

It is complicated and probably would take an entire book.

2012

Enter 2012 in Google and you get about 195,000,000 results. I agree, speculation and debate will continue to heat up as the date arrives.

Humanity has this recurring fascination with predicting the end of the world or huge changes - it has happened a number of times before.

We all remember the big Millennium scare.

Now with the Swine Flu many are getting into a tremendous panic about that.

It doesn't mean, though, that there won't be a real huge change this time, of course.

Like that saying,

“Just cause I'm paranoid, doesn't mean they aren't out to get me”.

I think that something will happen in 2012 but it will not be as noticeable as people believe.

2012 will come and go without those ancient prophecies seeming to have been fulfilled.

The seeds of a new world will be sewn in or near 2012 but it will take humanity a good long while to realize the full potential of said seeds.

So, what do you all think? How would you respond?

PHYSICAL INTIMACY

Is love dry without physical intimacy?

Love and Lust are different kinds of emotions.

Love is an emotion positive in nature while the latter is negative.

If you do things that are physically intimate
(necking, kissing, fondling, etc.)
And you are in love with each other then, it is just passion.

It becomes malicious if you feel lust.

Physical intimacy is a medium of conveying love between lovers.

I think it is necessary.

Even a peck on the cheek of the person you love is already something.

Hug, holding hands, a simple kiss - all of these are signs of love and affection.

Age is just a number.

"The body is at its best between the ages of 30 and 35; the mind at its best about the age of 49."  - Aristotle

How old do you feel?

Do you think you act older or younger than your age?

I act ages and ages old.

I act like a King with no country to take care of.

I just act like I need to, and sometimes like I ought not.

Depends on when where and what my state of mind is.

I don't really know what people at certain ages are supposed to act like, from what I think I understand, then at my age I don't act it.

But I am aware that i am growing older.

Who determines what is the right or wrong way to 'act' as you get older in 'age'!?

As a person who believes we have a soul I don't know how old i really am anyway. I do act my age in some ways, because I groan and limp a lot more. Peace

Live and appreciate every moment - live a youthful life as age is just a number :)

Bored.

To me, boredom is a state of mind.

When I feel bored, I know there is something I need to focus on, or need to clear out.

This is when I will go, sit & be still within myself.

Just listen to my breath.

Not try to control it.

Just pay attention to my breath.

Eventually my mind becomes clear, the feeling of boredom subsides and I gain some form of insight into what my higher self wants me to really be focusing on.

So, What do you do when you're bored?

Enough.

For me, there is never enough time.

There are so many things I'd like to do with my life that sometimes, it's difficult to know where to start.

Everyone around me is constantly telling me to relax a little, take it easy--you don't have to work so hard.

But to be honest, I'm happiest when I'm accomplishing something.

I want to make a positive difference in the lives of the people I've known,
  • know and will know,
  • to find happiness in the things that are normally taken for granted,
  • improve and do well in all the things that I do,
  • to change someone's life for the better,
  • to forgive the people that hurt me,
  • to tell the people I love and care about how I feel and how much they mean to me,
  • to keep all my promises,
  • to use all my knowledge and personal attributes to help others,
  • to find a way to help make someone else's wishes come true,
  • to be successful and financially independent enough to be able to treat my parents to a cruise around the world,
  • to save someone's life,
  • to learn to say sorry,
  • to write and sing my own songs and record it onto a CD : ) ,
  • to live in the moment,
  • and ultimately, a life with no regrets.
Enough will never be enough, but I'll try my hardest to get there.

Guides and Angels.

I do believe in Angels or Guides. Although I think many of us become stuck in the words we use to express that feeling of being guided.

Whether you believe in intuition, prophetic dreams, and many other senses of awareness, I believe it is all guided for our benefit. Some of us can experience the sensation of a scent and feel moved to do something specific - a scent can be that of a departed loved one and it moves us to look somewhere for an item we thought had been misplaced and there it is. Some of us feel a touch on our skin and are instantly brought back to a moment where we remember a bit of information that is necessary. And some people see angels.

Personally, I have had more than several occurrences of being guided by something other than my own consciousness. I choose to label it as little as possible since I believe strongly that while I love words and language, I do think that we tend to box ourselves into specific belief systems based on words, on labels and judgments and that what we need to do is feel more and sometimes think less. Otherwise, we run the risk of forgetting that we are here - again, in my opinion - to experience human life and all that it offers us. But that does not mean that we should be disconnected from whatever our source is, and the source often gets lost in the words we use to attempt to explain it.

One can not deny that we are connected to each other and that alone, for me, eliminates the illusion that left to our conscious minds, we can navigate the pathways of our lives on our own.

I do believe that we are our thoughts, however, I do not believe that we are even close to understanding how those thoughts appear. There are too many documented stories of people doing extraordinary things based on a hunch or a physical feeling that came over them suddenly to believe that some sort of wisdom other than our conscious selves is at place in our worlds.

And we, each of us, are someone else angel or guide in ways that perhaps we do not see. We meet, we connect in ways that might be unexplainable, we have different versions of a mutual experience, and then we move on -- guiding each others lives to a better place hopefully. And then, of course, there are experiences such as those I've had where the room is suddenly occupied by something larger than ourselves, something that consumes the air, something that lets us know in that moment that we are not alone, and that everything is going to be okay.

Anger.

Sometimes after becoming angry I feel energized and creative.

It is like a sudden, powerful, violent, short summer storm.

Just as suddenly it is over and I feel renewed and energized. I will need to talk about it afterward. Think with someone about what caused it and whether some action is required.

Ask the questions:

Is it something I can change? If not, what can I change?

Often I end up seeing the absurdity of it all and end up laughing.

Personal relationships don't bring out my anger.
I just get hurt and depressed.

Strangers.

Who/what are strangers?

I just realized reading today's different Blog posts, that "strangers" is an unfamiliar term for me.

Convinced that I am a part of all and that all is a part of me, nothing and no one is strange.

Now, if I were a member of one exclusive of another or all, some would be strangers.

I to them and they to me.

I sometimes think I may be strange or a stranger to some.

I'm not sure who or what I would consider strange.

Different? Unique?

I consider the parts of my body. Except for the pairs, one part does not look or act like another but is not strange.

Each together is truly ONE.

How do I feel about that?

Whole.

Gratitude.

What is missing in modern society?

I feel that modern society is missing gratitude.

It seems that people have forgotten how to be thankful for the simple pleasures of life.

We all are so busy on our cell phones or rushing to our next “important thing” that we don't take time to slow down and enjoy the blessing of a gentle breeze on our face or the laughter of a small child.

God is in all these simple pleasures of life.

When we are connected to God we know that we have everything we need.

Normal.

What does 'normal' mean to you?

What?

I am not alone.

Do you give yourself enough time?

When I look around at the life and activity and progress and achievement happening around me, I sense that I am the only one who has enough Time.

I happen slowly. Rarely feel rushed. I've been noticing this about me more and more. Either I am getting slower and slower or the rest of the world is going faster and faster.

Or maybe it's the direction that is different. Deeper and/or higher.

It doesn't disturb me that signs may be that I am "not with it". Rather, being one of Blogger in the Blogosphere, I know I am not alone.

If I am doubtful about that, I simply make a moment to check-in here.

And I know that I am in Love.

Silence.

What makes you feel safe?

Silence. The empty space that exists when the world steps back and fades away.

The silence is what cradles me, and gives me solace. When the chatter dissolves away, and all that is left is the essence of truth. When I can peer out into the darkness and feel the weight of the words that are unspoken. The silence is where the words go to hide, and when I enter the silence, I can bear witness to their power. Together, we join with the silence, and agree to live in harmony. Quietly. Silently.

Love.

What do you believe about Love?

Love cannot be simplified into mere words. Anyone with a clear voice and the mind to do it can put forth words of love without having any feeling behind them. Love instead resides in the things we do and do not do out of genuine appreciation and sincere adoration for another person.

Peace.

What would you fight for?

If we want 'PEACE'... we must BE Peace ! This is difficult. There are many opportunities to FIGHT. 'Our World' is an example of much 'Fighting'. When one dog chases and fights another... we quickly loose track of who started the mess in the first place. We are very challenged to not contribute to 'fighting'. I've been experimenting with avoiding 'FIGHTING' for a while now. I think it is the better way. We must BE PEACE to have PEACE !

Working, endeavoring, wrestling with,struggling... are different than fighting ?

That said... it's a 'struggle' (not 'fight') sometimes to maintain this path. And yes, I would fight to preserve lives and well being of my friends and family.

Destiny.

Do you believe in Destiny?

I believe in choice. One could be on a path to a certain destiny and one choice can alter that path and take them to another destination. It only needs to be a tiny vibrational difference and the path can be altered tremendously.

Karma.

What do you believe about karma?

Intention matters.
If you intend to cause harm, but don't, it counts. That desire to cause pain harms you and those around you. They can feel it even if they can't identify or explain it.
If you intend the best for those around you:
  • safety,
  • love,
  • courage,
  • strength,
  • honesty,
  • flexibility,
  • creative energy,
it affects them like warm breeze.
