Maybe this story is a good example of how the secret works:
I was at lunch yesterday with some people that I work with and one of the men at the table was talking about negative things and he was not in the best of moods. The waitress came to take his food order and he told her what he wanted. He sounded like he was being fake nice to the waitress when he ordered his food. The waitress was trying to be nice but I don’t think she liked how the man sounded when he ordered the food. When the waitress walked away the man said he didn’t think the waitress was being nice to him.
The man was so involved in his bad mood and negative thinking that he couldn’t even see that he wasn’t being pleasant to those around him, and he thought that those around him were not being pleasant to him.
The man got in a better mood after a while. The other man and I were talking about positive things and I think our mood rubbed off on him. It was interesting to me how each of our moods could change the moods of others.
I believe The Secret in this story is that each of us can change our world in either a positive or negative way. Our thoughts create our reality.
i've read this book, at first parang impossible... but i've tried to use it in my daily living grabe sobrang effective. Parang smile lang un e... when you're walking at the mall and try to smile at the person approaching you, even if he/she had a rough day... he/she will smile back.

parang isang bulok na kamatis lang yan sa isang kaingin ng kamatis, kapag bulok ang isa mabubulok din ang lahat, kaya para di mabulok ang lahat, kailangang alisin kagad ang unang bulok,Ü
ReplyDeleteThey say life is 20% what happens to us and 80% how we react to it.
ReplyDeleteI admit that I am not the most pleasant of people, and when I get into one of my moods, everyone gets a piece of it. During those times, I try as much as possible not to interact with people. It is better that I spend that day inside my shell rather than infect others with my negativity. It also stops me from attracting further negative vibes.
this post reminded me about wicca...
ReplyDeletewiccans draw energy from their surroundings. if their surrounding with bad vibes, they'll get negative energy...
it's really amazing how we can rub-off some joy/happiness to those people around us. :))
It's easy to lose sight of the things that matter in life when we are engaged in the motions of daily living. I learned a few months ago that we can truly live the best out of life even in random situations (seemingly random pero result pala ng mga decisions and thoughts natin prior to those events) by living in the so-called "now" or moment. in reference to your post, our minds are ours to use. we can always make them function to think of whatever we can -- good or bad, positive or negative, pleasant or unpleasant. Now, our interpretation of good or bad (and other subjects stated) is another issue...
ReplyDeleteRead the secret carefully..and try to understand it word for word..
ReplyDeleteYou are what you think..
