Have you successfully changed something about yourself?
Yes. I am in constant flux. Evolving is the way I see it. Always trying to better myself. I think the most important thing I have changed is the way I see myself. I have become less critical and more forgiving of myself. I have actively worked on being myself.
Have you noticed how some people will try to break you down when you change, even if it is for the better? And, more importantly how others will support you in this?
Seeking my degrees and having attained my BA at 70, and currently attaining my master's; this covers both for above; most people were very supportive but there were those that wanted to know why on earth did I want to do this at such a late age! As we know, lack of support often can be jealousy. I am static; I had so many people tell me that I have given them the push they needed to go back or start college. Even now, I have older students in my class-it seems to give them incentive, or they will say that they tell their parents about me to inspire them!!!

That is incredible jinx! I love the fact that you overcame the negativity. I agree that it must be jealousy.
ReplyDeletePeople like you are so supportive and inspirational, though! It neutralizes the negative people. You are wonderful!

Change is good. Change is also painful. That is why most people fear it, because it represents the unknown, and the breaking down of their comfort zones.
ReplyDeletelet just say people are not really used of changes, and some people are really just jealous,Ü
ReplyDeleteRaft3r, I agree : )
ReplyDeleteShatterShards, Taking risks into the unknown in my life is scary. But it is the way that I learn and grow.
