Humanity has this recurring fascination with predicting the end of the world or huge changes - it has happened a number of times before.
We all remember the big Millennium scare.
Now with the Swine Flu many are getting into a tremendous panic about that.
It doesn't mean, though, that there won't be a real huge change this time, of course.
Like that saying,
“Just cause I'm paranoid, doesn't mean they aren't out to get me”.
I think that something will happen in 2012 but it will not be as noticeable as people believe.
2012 will come and go without those ancient prophecies seeming to have been fulfilled.
The seeds of a new world will be sewn in or near 2012 but it will take humanity a good long while to realize the full potential of said seeds.
So, what do you all think? How would you respond?
i admit i fear about it too. but im just clinging on my faith in God.

ReplyDeletethey say what will happen then will be enlightening.

Yes, Keep The Faith.
It was said that the Mayan Calendar was so accurate, it plotted out solar and lunar eclipses a hundred years into the past, and a hundred years into the future. It has calendar cycles of 10 days, 150 days and 360 days. All those cycles fit into the Long Calendar of 5000 years.
ReplyDeleteDecember 21, 2012 happens to coincide with the last day of the Long Calendar, and as such, was regarded as the moment that time will stop; what conspiracy theorists have predicted as the end of the world.
They may be right, but then again, it might just mean the start of another 5000-year Long Calendar cycle.
Have you seen Incubus' Warning video?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sz4DmBKbUxs
They're one of the few artists to have tackled the 2012 issue in their videos, and I believe their's is a more interesting take to the issue than the 2012 movie. And it does help that they have very good lyrics.
2012 would be little less ordinary for some who are not aware... the Mayan prophecy is (somehow) precise to the alignment of the celestial bodies and if the day comes, it will be of a new world. enlightenment as they say. a new era for humanity, but too early for extinction.
ReplyDeleteThe more you talk about it, the more result you'll get... and the more speculations make you confuse and insecure... at the end... you'll lose hope, worst, faith....
ReplyDeleteHave courage, have strength...
dont be anxious about the things that might happen in the future, be prepared of the things that might happen today!
ReplyDeleteMalay mo kunin na pla tayo ni lord mamaya!hhehehe! yun lang ang sa akin!
