Going Out Of My Head

"People mistakenly assume that their thinking is done by their head; it is actually done by the heart which first dictates the conclusion, then commands the head to provide the reasoning that will defend it."
~Father Anthony De Mello

What I want most is a harmonious relationship
between my heart and my head.

The heart says “I want this, this is my desire” and the head says, “No you don’t” and the heart says “Yes I do” and the head says “Don’t (sticking out tongue)”.

Yes, I know how that seesaw feels!

Usually for me it’s because I’m not yet clear about my desire.

But when I am clear then I move in that direction and the head follows.

It’s interesting when our head and heart is not expressing complimentary tones creating that dissonance that can feel like grinding gears.

I hope we find that harmony right now.

"The Heart is Stronger than you think.
It's like can go through anything.
Even when you think it can't it finds a way to still push on..."

that kind of cognitive disonance is always felt by everyone..
what must be done is to relax and think straight...

    weigh the options...
and look at what might happen..

    then decide....

  15. hmmm... ang sabi naman ng prof ko... the heart only pumps blood and has nothing to do with our feelings. it's just that the brain needs something to blame its faults on. kaya pag nagkamali ang utak, ang sinisisi ay puso. poor heart. hehe. hope you find clarity parekoy.
