Is love dry without physical intimacy?
Love and Lust are different kinds of emotions.
Love is an emotion positive in nature while the latter is negative.
If you do things that are physically intimate
(necking, kissing, fondling, etc.)
And you are in love with each other then, it is just passion.
It becomes malicious if you feel lust.
Physical intimacy is a medium of conveying love between lovers.
I think it is necessary.
Even a peck on the cheek of the person you love is already something.
Hug, holding hands, a simple kiss - all of these are signs of love and affection.

it has been said that physical chemistry is also important to keep a relationship healthy.
ReplyDeletePhysical intimacy is one form of assertion of the feelings people feel for each other. I wish it weren't true, but sometimes, when the sex stops, there are problems in the relationship.
ReplyDeleteit depends on how one define intimacy...
ReplyDeleteno argument about love and lust.
ReplyDeletedun sa tanong mo...hmmm parang oo ang sagot ko!
I agree. :)
ReplyDeletedepende sa klase ng love... i think passionate love, or "eros", needs intimacy...
ReplyDeletepero if it's the higher form of love, like siguro yung love between God and His Church, di naman kailangan ng intimacy nun.. ehehe
yun din siguro ang kaibahan ng make love sa sex. yan siguro ang sagot sa tanong na bakit hindi na sweet yung mag-asawa kapag matanda na sila. lol
ReplyDeleteit is dry unless both of you opt to remain chaste. i totally agree with engel's and shattershards' comments.
ReplyDeletethere are a lot of levels of intimacy, and the physical expression is just one of them.
ReplyDeleteand like everything else in life, balance is the key to a healthy relationship.
after all, you can't stay in bed 24/7, right? ;)
hmmm. i don't thingk so. like what most of the comments here, depende sa kung anong klase at gaano mo kamahal yung tao. intimacy is parang sub-ingredient nalang but not necessarily the main ingredient. tipong pwede ka magluto ng food kahit ala yun. as long as andun yung importanteng ingredient, which is love. ^_^
ReplyDeletelove + lust = me. kung hindi ganito ang equation, 'wag na lang. :p
ReplyDeletePre salamat sa bati ha!natats naman ako! at dun sa bday greetings na ipapadala mo, sobrang salamat!hehhe
ReplyDeleteAdd kita parekoy! Salamat uli!
that is what i need now..
ReplyDeletephysical intimacy is not the core but a result of love...
ReplyDeletedamn, i miss having this. even just a kiss from a loved one...
wahahaha, emo...
love and lust go together
ReplyDeleteone is futile without the other
Naku, di na ako naging intimate for ilang years na... well paminsan na lang... mas masarap sa akin ang pakikipagusap kesa sa physical... siguro kasi im already holding back... jijijijiji
ReplyDeletelusting for someone who you admire is sometimes a just sign of intense physical attraction. For the attraction to develop into love, there has to be a genuine caring relationship, esp after the physical intimacy part is consummated. Having sex with someone who you find later on is from another planet in the way she thinks makes you want to bail out as quick as you can.
ReplyDeleteyeah, intimacy is really needed in a relationship to keep the fire..but I also believe in the "Law of Diminishing Return." Being too much intimate before marriage also diminishes the excitement & spoils the honeymoon night..
ReplyDeleteako rin, naniniwala rin ako na partly need din ang physical intimacy sa isang relationship. gaya ng sabi ni ShatterShards, its a form of assertion of the feelings people feel for each other...
ReplyDeleteno... love is caring! its not just a feeling.
ReplyDeletewe can express love even without physical intimacy!
we can show it by our concern to them... our commitment!
yes, kissing and hugging are simple expression of love but beyond that its a different story.
me, too... Sometimes...
ReplyDeletei mean, i sometimes, crave for that, lolz!
ReplyDeletethe title alone is an intriguing one. physical intimacy is an essential ingredient to a successful relationship. :)
ReplyDeletei love holding hands, kissing and hugging,,, ehehehehe!
ReplyDeletei couldn't agree more...
ReplyDeletei agree with the previous statements. both love and lust are entirely different things.
ReplyDeleteFor my opinion, Love and lust are perfect combination of long lasting relationship.
ReplyDeletei agree wuth engel.. physical chemistry is also an important factor to have a smooth flowing relationship..
ReplyDeleteLOVE and LUST are two sides of the same coin, the enjoyment of one requires respect for the other .If you are in love, lust should be absent. And if you need the latter do not expect the former.
ReplyDeletenow it is the deadbeat club's turn to talk about sex
ReplyDeletehehe
lust is purely physical attraction WITHOUT affection/emotions involved.
ReplyDeletei am a very affectionate person and needs to be intimate (not just sex) with the person i love or care about... it sometimes feels tiring or draining putting out all the effort, then again i dont want to hold back either...
and so goes a vicious cycle...
