PHYSICAL INTIMACY

Is love dry without physical intimacy?

Love and Lust are different kinds of emotions.

Love is an emotion positive in nature while the latter is negative.

If you do things that are physically intimate
(necking, kissing, fondling, etc.)
And you are in love with each other then, it is just passion.

It becomes malicious if you feel lust.

Physical intimacy is a medium of conveying love between lovers.

I think it is necessary.

Even a peck on the cheek of the person you love is already something.

Hug, holding hands, a simple kiss - all of these are signs of love and affection.

  2. Physical intimacy is one form of assertion of the feelings people feel for each other. I wish it weren't true, but sometimes, when the sex stops, there are problems in the relationship.

  5. depende sa klase ng love... i think passionate love, or "eros", needs intimacy...

pero if it's the higher form of love, like siguro yung love between God and His Church, di naman kailangan ng intimacy nun.. ehehe

  6. yun din siguro ang kaibahan ng make love sa sex. yan siguro ang sagot sa tanong na bakit hindi na sweet yung mag-asawa kapag matanda na sila. lol

  8. there are a lot of levels of intimacy, and the physical expression is just one of them.

and like everything else in life, balance is the key to a healthy relationship.

after all, you can't stay in bed 24/7, right? ;)

  9. hmmm. i don't thingk so. like what most of the comments here, depende sa kung anong klase at gaano mo kamahal yung tao. intimacy is parang sub-ingredient nalang but not necessarily the main ingredient. tipong pwede ka magluto ng food kahit ala yun. as long as andun yung importanteng ingredient, which is love. ^_^

  15. lusting for someone who you admire is sometimes a just sign of intense physical attraction. For the attraction to develop into love, there has to be a genuine caring relationship, esp after the physical intimacy part is consummated. Having sex with someone who you find later on is from another planet in the way she thinks makes you want to bail out as quick as you can.

  16. yeah, intimacy is really needed in a relationship to keep the fire..but I also believe in the "Law of Diminishing Return." Being too much intimate before marriage also diminishes the excitement & spoils the honeymoon night..

  18. no... love is caring! its not just a feeling.
we can express love even without physical intimacy!
we can show it by our concern to them... our commitment!
yes, kissing and hugging are simple expression of love but beyond that its a different story.

  25. LOVE and LUST are two sides of the same coin, the enjoyment of one requires respect for the other .If you are in love, lust should be absent. And if you need the latter do not expect the former.

well, for me intimacy is one ingredients of love, para ka lang nagluluto...(ng luto ng Diyos, as the say, joke...hehehe) pag wala kang concentration sa ginagawa mo, matabang ang kalalabasan...

  28. lust is purely physical attraction WITHOUT affection/emotions involved.

i am a very affectionate person and needs to be intimate (not just sex) with the person i love or care about... it sometimes feels tiring or draining putting out all the effort, then again i dont want to hold back either...

and so goes a vicious cycle...
