Give Peace A Chance.

What gets in the way of peace?

Greed. Placing blame.

The attachment to and the belief that one's point of view is the only one that should exist.

Whether in world politics, family structures, neighbors, it is all the same.

We tend to think our view of a situation, which is always skewed by ego and environment, is the only correct "answer", and we tend to need answers that suit our ego much more than we are willing to ask the right questions.

We love to place blame but how many of us look within for understanding and then act as examples.

But we sure do like the sounds of our own voices.

'xs ... back to work' and will take my one hour break : )

  1. Most seek for world peace... But how can they have it, if they don't have their own peace of mind?

Letting go of ego and understanding conflict beyond what our eyes can see. Most of the time rational thinking is blinded by an outburst of intense feeling... May it be hurt, anger or even love.

    Peace be with us all.

  2. amen to this post.

hope this reaches out to blogs hating on politicians, doing nothing but post negative stuff instead of promoting change.

  3. the ego is to blame. it is typical of us to cast blame on others yet make ourselves the exception to the rule. in short - hypocrisy and too much love of self.

  4. Peace begins in one's self ika nga nila... but it's true... yun nga lang medyo iba iba ang ego natin so depende how we accept our shortcomings. Of course the least we want to deal with are those hypocrites... but maybe in our own little ways we can make a difference...

  12. promoting peace or lets say world peace is not difficult to achieved (as other think), if we only started it in our very own self...big things comes from small thing, remember...

  14. disconnected na kasi ang ilan sa iba. *twilight zone score* that disconnection gives the self its food -- fault-finding and narcissism.

  19. Yes, we love to place blame. It is interesting that the story of Adam and Eve's expulsion from paradise was for eating --not just an apple -- but the fruit of the knowledge of good and evil. We humans learned to judge. And we've done it ever since. I'm right, you're wrong, so I'm dropping the A-bomb on you. Peace only comes when we accept others instead of judging them.

And I suppose anyone who disagrees with me is wrong!

    Thanks for visiting my blog.
